March 2, 2005 (Atlanta, GA) – Nicknamed the Gambling Oscars, Gambling Online Magazine’s Annual Readers Choice Awards are the interactive gaming industry’s most sought after honors. Voted on by the 250,000 readers of Gambling Online Magazine, the awards offer voting in a wide-range of categories including Best Casino, Best Sportsbook, Best Poker site.
Since the Gambling Online Magazine Awards have grown to include over 40 categories of voting, Gambling Online Magazine will be hosting the voting for the awards over the following eight months, dividing the voting into three periods separating the most popular voting categories, Casino, Sportsbook and Poker Room, into separate periods.
Voting will take place on the magazine’s website www.GamblingOnlineMagazine.com and will be available to all visitors. At the end of each voting period, Gambling Online Magazine will announce the Top 10 nominees for each category and issue each nominee with a nominee citation reflecting that site’s achievement as a reader favorite. The final winners will be announced in Gambling Online Magazine’s celebrated Year Book Edition.
According to Gambling Online Magazine editor Michael Caselli, ‘The awards have become so popular with our readers that we wanted to do something that would get them involved in the voting all year long. Besides that, we have developed so many award categories, at the request of our readers, we needed to separate the voting into polling periods. Our advertisers have agreed that this is the best format going forward because it gives them a chance to celebrate nominations throughout the year.
