Bodog Rocks Miami VMA’s Weekend With Jamie Foxx and Diddy

August 31, 2005 – Miami, FL – Online gaming leader Bodog rocked Miami VMAs weekend with sponsorships of two high-profile events – the Ocean Drive/Bodog.net Music 05 party hosted by Jamie Foxx, and VMA host Diddy’s own post-awards bash.

“What a fantastic weekend for our company,” Bodog Founder & CEO Calvin Ayre said. “This is a milestone moment for us, particularly our collaboration with Diddy. It’s rare to find two industry leaders with so much in common as Bad Boy and Bodog.”

On Sunday night, Ayre, along with BodogMusic artist Bif Naked, watched Diddy host the 2005 Video Music Awards from the third row of the American Airlines Arena, and then joined him afterwards at the Diddy after-party. As one of the sponsors, Bodog had a huge presence (Bodog Poker tables on every floor in every room) at the Space night club. The combination of Bodog’s 21st century entertainment expertise and Bad Boy’s dominance in the music world proved a potent mix of fun and lavish regalia.

And the Ocean Drive/Bodog.net Music 05 party was no dud, either.

Together, Bodog and Ocean Drive threw what was deemed THE party of the evening Saturday night in the Americana Ballroom at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel, South Beach. The event, which kicked off the VMAs, was covered by all of the major networks, including CBS, Fox, ABC, Access Hollywood and Extra.

“This is without a doubt the most talked about party in all of Miami,” said Calvin Ayre. “Bodog is thrilled to have Jamie Foxx as our host. He’s such an accomplished actor and as we’ve seen – an amazing performer.”

Foxx, who performed throughout the night on his black grand piano, was set up with his personal VIP lounge on stage, to the left of his piano. He never had to leave the stage area and was able to entertain the crowd from beginning to end.

Along with the Oscar-winning star of “Ray”, VIPs included Shaquille O’Neal, Colin Farrell, Jessica Simpson, Christina Milan, Eddie Murphy, Ludacris, Aaron Carter, Tony Hawk and other celebs.
